MOWOG #3 is being held at Dakota County Technical College.

Notice to Participants: In light of the current COVID-19 situation, every attempt will be made to minimize the risks of exposure to the virus. New processes and procedures are being developed and will be put into place for events going forward.

Ultimately, it is your responsibility to assess the risk to you, both on-track and off, and to make the decision on whether or not to participate. If you are feeling unwell or are experiencing symptoms such as fever, cough, or shortness of breath please stay home. If you have been in contact with someone who has been experiencing these symptoms in the last two weeks, please stay home.

While on site please take the health and safety of your fellow participants, volunteers and staff into consideration and practice social distancing, wear a mask, and wash your hands and/or use hand sanitizer frequently.

MAC will be implementing social distancing guidelines for our events for the foreseeable in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. This is a summary of our guidelines, and altered event operations for MOWOG 3. Please read this fully and carefully; if we are unable to follow guidelines, MAC may not be able to run any future events for the season. If you are not comfortable with or unable to follow any of these rules, please let us know; full refunds will be given. This is the first time for any of our volunteers and participants to be running an event this way. Please be understanding if there is any confusion or delay. You can do your part to help the event run smoothly by reading and understanding everything please

General Rules – Spectators are not welcome for the time being to reduce crowd sizes. Everyone at the event will be required to keep social distance and wear a face mask while not in their cars. No exceptions. The EM/AEM/Grid Marshall should be particularly vigilant and rigorously enforce this.

Gate Waiver – When you arrive, the gate wavier volunteer will hand you a pen, wristband, and paper waiver form to sign. Once you have them, you will be directed to go to the first available spot in the grid you’ll be running in. Once you’ve parked you car in grid, please sign the waiver sheet and put on your wristband. Another volunteer will come by your grid spot to collect your signed waiver sheet. The gate waiver will not be allowing anyone new in after 8AM.

Grid – We will have enough room at Canterbury park to have an “every other car” grid arrangement to keep cars spaced apart. Once you arrive at your grid spot stay at your car.

Check-In – Once you have arrived at your grid spot, a volunteer worker will verbally check you in to the event. If you are not at your car, you may not be checked in. You may not be able to drive as a result. Day-of registration will not be available.

Worker Sign-up – This will be done along with registration. When you are checked in, you will be given a work assignment by the worker check-in volunteer. If you are a corner captain (which requires a radio), you will be given a radio to use for the day. Do not share this radio with others. Nobody age 70 or older will be required to work.

Tech (Car) – Tech volunteers will go down the grid from front to back (just as Check-In will), and tech cars in-place in line. You will be asked to open your doors, trunk, and hood, and demonstrate your pedals function correctly. Be prepared to show your helmet sticker. Tech workers will inspect your car if needed. Make sure your car is empty of any loose items and your numbers are on the car. If you are not at your car, you may not get your car teched. You may not be able to drive as a result. 2019 Season tech stickers will be good for 2021. All 2019 Helmet Stickers will be honored as the helmet standards have not changed.

Driver’s Meeting – The EM will conduct the driver’s meeting over PA by the check-in trailer at the time specified on the schedule.  In light of the ongoing COVID situation, please remember to social distance as much as possible.

Worker Check-In – We will be skipping this and going by the honor system. If people don’t work their assigned tasks, we may not be able to hold future events. Be courteous to your fellow participants and show up for your work assignment.

Audit Sheets/Corner Boxes – There will be no paper audit sheets used by corner captains and corner workers.

Cones – All corner workers should wear gloves during their work assignments. MAC will provide some gloves. Please bring your own gloves if you are able.

Instructing/Codriving – There will only ever be one person allowed in a car (the driver or codriver). No instructors, no passengers. Codrivers are not allowed to ride as passengers during runs to make enforcement simpler.

Biffs – Biffs will be provided and stocked with hand sanitizer. They will be available to use “at your own risk.”
